Abstract

Current trends in analytical research seem almost impossible without the implementation of artificial intelligence. This short review is a summary of recent research and opinions of leading scientists regarding the transformation of common electrochemical multisensor systems and arrays in the immediate future. The review includes the aspects of the development of artificial intelligence-assisted (bio)electrochemical multisensor systems and arrays, the main bottlenecks, and successful smart analytical platforms. The promising applications of so-called smart multisensor systems and arrays are shown in medicine, physical activity tracking, veterinary, pharmaceutical industry, forensic science, food industry, agriculture, and ecology.
