Formation of High-Dimensional Frameworks through Counterions: Structure of [Cr2(Bipy)2(H2O)2(μ-H2O)2(μ,λ-O2C)-C6H4-2-NH2]·(NO3)3·H2O
Source abstract
Abstract
We describe the crystallization and crystal structure of a novel compound with antralinic acid [Cr 2 (bipy) 2 (H 2 O) 2 (μ-H 2 O) 2 (μ,λ-O 2 C)-C 6 H 4 -2-NH 2 ]·(NO 3 ) 3 ·H 2 O 1, and analyze its crystal packing and crystal supramolecularity in the context of the influence of the counterions. Different arrays (1D and 2D) build up from hard hydrogen bonds are discussed, and we describe the assembly of them to obtain a 3D arrangement. Intra- and intermolecular C−H···X hydrogen bonding occurs but is not a major influence.
