Abstract
Bioinspired Shape-Memory Hook Fasteners Inspired by the hook–loop mechanism of burdock burrs, shape-memory polymer hooks are programmed to morph under thermal stimuli. The activated geometry enables controlled engagement with fibrous loop networks, allowing reversible interlocking and release. This bioinspired concept introduces adaptive mechanical interfaces for reusable fastening systems and tunable material architectures.
