Abstract
Upcycling of Refractories The cover shows solidified aluminum droplets deposited at the crucible bottom which served as a cathode during molten salt electrolysis with a novel anode material derived from upcycled MgO-C refractories. Further information on design and operation of the laboratory electrolysis cell as well as the used anode material can be found in the Research Article by Alexander Adamczyk, Farhan Hossain, Felipe A. Garcia Paz, Serhii Yaroshevskyi, Felix Drechsler, Daniel Voigt, Christos G. Aneziris, Alexandros Charitos (10.1002/adem.202502855). Photo credit: Alexander Adamczyk, INEMET, TUBAF.
