Abstract

The development of high‐performance lightweight lattice structures has long been a focus in fields like aerospace and automotive engineering. The paper adopts the unique fiber gradient structure and optimized internal support of rhinoceros horn and designs a biomimetic lattice structure using 3D printing technology, integrating this lightweight high‐strength performance feature together. Compression experiments and computed tomography scans were conducted to investigate the structural behavior. The Johnson–Cook (JC) damage model was employed in simulations to analyze failure mechanisms and interface stability. After structural optimization, the sample's weight increased by only 3.17%, while its maximum load capacity improved significantly by 29.37%, reaching 2118 N, with failure initiated by the bending and fracture of supporting columns leading to structural collapse. This study established a quantitative correlation between interface stability and overall load‐bearing capacity, providing a reliable theoretical basis and technical support for the failure prediction and optimization of lattice structures.
