Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Hard‐Phase Containing Co‐Base Alloy
Source abstract
Abstract
Co-Base Alloys To understand the properties of additively manufactured co-base materials, a basic understanding of the microstructure formation process during solidification and in the solid state due to the alternating heat input must be derived. In addition, geometric discontinuities influence the heat dissipation and, thus, the structure formation process, which results in a change in the local material properties. In article number 2301913, Arne Röttger and co-workers consider the processing of the hard-phase containing CoCrW-alloy Celsit F using powder bed fusion-laser beam/metal, whereby a suitable process window for producing dense parts having a low-defect density is determined.
