Abstract

Here we present a novel method for the fabrication of dual-scale surface topographies in the nano and submicron scale for biomedical applications. The results show that the behavior of fibroblasts and glial cells were significantly altered on the structured surfaces as compared to our control surface. Such surfaces with predesigned micro and nano-scale topographies have great potential for applications in areas such as biomaterials science and tissue engineering.
