Synergistic Strain‐Magnetic Field Modulation of Antiferromagnetic Frequency Comb
Source abstract
Abstract
The magnon frequency comb (MFC) is a spin wave spectrum consisting of equidistant coherent peaks, which is mainly used to measure the frequency of magnon transport in magnets. Its operating frequency and measurement accuracy play an important role in practical applications. Antiferromagnetic (AFM) thin films can greatly increase their operating frequency to terahertz. Owing to the decisive effect of frequency comb tooth number on the measurement accuracy, it is of great significance to realize the tunability of the frequency comb in the terahertz band. This work investigates the strain‐mediated modulation mechanism of the MFC generated by the interaction between the magnon excitation mode and skyrmion breathing mode in antiferromagnetic. It is revealed that the breathing mode of the skyrmion and the spacing of MFC are closely related to the applied local magnetic field and strain. The agreement between the intrinsic and forced breathing modes enables strain‐mediated modulation of the spacing and number of the antiferromagnetic frequency comb tooth. Therefore, this work reveals a controllable MFC in the terahertz band through the synergy of strain and magnetic field, offering a rich platform for exploring novel avenues in magnetic nanotechnology.
