3D‐Printed Polyetheretherketone Smart Polymer Nanocomposite Scaffolds: Mechanical, Self‐Sensing, and Biological Attributes
Source abstract
Abstract
Nanocomposite Scaffolds In article number 2301659, S. Kumar and co-workers investigate the mechanical, self-sensing, and biological performance of advanced 3D-printed PEEK scaffolds reinforced with carbon nanotubes and graphene nanoplatelets for bone tissue engineering applications. The findings underscore the impressive mechanical strength, piezoresistive properties, and excellent cytocompatibility of the scaffolds, showcasing their potential as intelligent, adaptable implants with enhanced biocompatibility for structural applications.
