Silicon Carbide Foams by Polyurethane Replica Technique
Source abstract
Abstract
This paper describes the process of polyurethane replica technique for fabricating highly porous SiC ceramic foams using gelatin as gelling agent. Characterization of the porous ceramics have been performed by 3‐point‐bending strength, gas permeability and electrical conductivity measurements.
