Abstract

Lithium Materials In article number 2501813, Sabine M. Gallagher and co-workers analyzed the costs of lithium production pathways that are critical to U.S. economic and national security. Lithium compounds derived from spodumene ore, brine extraction, and lithium-ion battery recycling were examined to inform the development of innovative, cost-effective domestic processes for producing lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide monohydrate.
