Unlocking Electrode Performance of Disordered Rocksalt Oxides Through Structural Defect Engineering and Surface Stabilization with Concentrated Electrolyte (Adv. Energy Mater. 23/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Disordered Rocksalt Oxides In article number 2304074, Naoaki Yabuuchi and co-workers synthesized Li-excess cation-disordered rocksalt oxides and systematically studied factors affecting electrode reversibility. The superior performance of Li1.1Nb0.1Mn0.8O2 is unlocked for nanosized oxides with the enriched structural defects. Moreover, electrode reversibility is further improved by using a highly concentrated electrolyte solution through the surface stabilization on high-voltage exposure, and superior capacity retention is achieved.
