Decoupling the Capacity Fading in Ni‐Rich Layered Materials during High‐Temperature Cycling in the Full‐Cell System (Adv. Energy Mater. 41/2023)
Source abstract
Abstract
Li-Ion Batteries In article number 2302209, Won-Sub Yoon and co-workers decouple charge/discharge fading in the NCA and graphite full-cell system. In addition to the pseudo-deterioration of NCA caused by solid electrolyte interphase layer growth in graphite during high-temperature cycling, it is revealed that the formation of a NiO-like rocksalt phase on the surface and the increase of cation disordering in bulk are some of the factors leading to the charge/discharge fading of the NCA, respectively.
