Abstract

In article number 1900955, Cheng Zhong, Wenbin Hu and co-workers fabricate a novel mesoporosity decorated palladium nanotube array as an electrocatalyst toward formic acid and formate oxidation. The one dimensional nanotube arrays, free of agglomeration, endow ultra-facile substance transport and minimum waste of active surface. The additional mesoporosity of the nanotubes not only enlarges the electrochemical active surface area but also increases the areal population of catalytically active sites. With this unique architecture, superior electrocatalysis activities are obtained which far surpass those of commercial Pt/C catalysts.
