Rechargeable Al‐Chalcogen Batteries: Status, Challenges, and Perspectives (Adv. Energy Mater. 29/2021)
Source abstract
Abstract
Al-Chalcogen Batteries In article number 2100769, Haijun Yu and co-workers discuss the current progress and perspectives on state-of-the-art Al-chalcogen (sulfur, selenium, and tellurium) batteries. The perspective summarizes recent advances in Al-chalcogen batteries in terms of cathodes, electrolytes, separators, anodes, and practical battery configurations. The electrochemical reaction mechanisms of these battery systems involving negative-valence and positive-valence chalcogenides are highlighted.
