Abstract

In article number 2003197, Jaephil Cho and co-workers provide the history and recent advances of important doping research on layered-structured cathode materials of Li-ion batteries, summarizing conventional atomic substitution at Li- and Co-sites and recent Li-rich, Ni-rich, and Co-rich materials. Furthermore, future possibilities for advanced doping research, namely via methodological approaches, are suggested alongside relevant experimental demonstrations.
