Integrated and Automated: Liquid Metal‐based System for Full Cycle CO2‐to‐Carbon Conversion (Adv. Energy Mater. 26/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
CO2-to-Carbon Conversion In article number 2300883, Chao Yu and co-workers report an innovative system for integrated carbon capture and conversion. This cutting-edge technology utilizes a seamless, continuous gas-liquid-solid reaction system, enhanced by the interactions at the liquid metals interfaces and the dynamic characteristics of the helical flow field. This design facilitates CO2 capture, release, and direct conversion to carbon, achieving an ultra-high conversion rate of 550.57 μmolC/mmolCO2 with 100% efficiency while minimizing energy input in a compact design.
