Rechargeable Batteries: New Insight into Ni‐Rich Layered Structure for Next‐Generation Li Rechargeable Batteries (Adv. Energy Mater. 4/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1701788 by Won-Sub Yoon and co-workers, the role of nickel as a building block in layered structures is investigated, with the aim of offering new insights into Ni-rich layered cathode materials in lithium-ion batteries. The fresh apple that appears rotten on the outside, is used as a metaphor, for the authors finding, that lithium ion channels retain their ability to intercalate or de-intercalate lithium ions, even when their c-axes are collapsed.
