Functionality of 1‐Butyl‐2,3‐Dimethylimidazolium Bromide (BMI‐Br) as a Solid Plasticizer in PEO‐Based Polymer Electrolyte for Highly Reliable Lithium Metal Batteries (Adv. Energy Mater. 47/2023)
Source abstract
Abstract
Lithium Metal Batteries In article number 2301674, Sang-Eun Chun, Jae Hyun Kim and co-workers develop a composite polymer electrolyte with high ionic conductivity by adding a solid plasticizer. BMI-Br promotes the formation of BMI-TFSI and Li-Br. This leads to a stable organic-inorganic solid electrolyte interface layer, ensuring a stable potential at 300 µA cm−2 for 500 hours and 99.7% capacity retention after 300 cycles at 1C with an LiFePO4 cathode.
