Abstract

In article number 1801184, Ta-Jen Yen and co-workers report that hot electron-doped 2D materials can contribute to promoting photo-electrochemical hydrogen evolution by hybridizing the unusual quadrupole gap plasmons of optimized nano-antennas with the excitons of bilayer MoS2. Excellent hydrogen evolution reaction activity is realized due to the good light-trapping behavior of the QGP structure, large number of accepting sites of bilayer MoS2 and fast electron injection process.
