Abstract

A layered nanospace-confined pyrolysis of biosources for the synthesis of 2D carbon nanosheets is demonstrated as a general strategy by Jieshan Qiu and co-workers in article number 1401761. The 2D carbon nanosheets help to shorten the ion transport distance and exhibit an ultrahigh rate capacity as electrode materials for a supercapacitor with a capacitance retention of about 80% at 100 A g−1.
