Abstract

In article number 1802431, Hongbin Lu and co-authors demonstrate a multifunctional mediator based on a nickel cobalt double hydroxide (NiCo-DH) composite for Li–S batteries. The NiCo-DH plays an important role in suppressing the shuttle effect and accelerating the redox kinetics of LiPSs. The composite electrode can load high contents of sulfur (>85 wt%) and exhibit a superior capacity, ultrahigh rate performance, and ultralong life, with a decay rate of 0.015% per cycle.
