Cathode Materials: A Novel Surface Treatment Method and New Insight into Discharge Voltage Deterioration for High‐Performance 0.4Li2MnO3–0.6LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 Cathode Materials (Adv. Energy Mater. 16/2014)
Source abstract
Abstract
Lithium-rich cathodes are promising for high-energy lithium-ion battery applications, but their use is currently limited by intrinsic problems. In article number 1400631, Jaephil Cho and co-workers report overcoming these limitations by using a novel surface modification method that consists of a reduced graphene oxide coating and chemical activation. This leads to cathodes with improved electrochemical performance.
