Light‐to‐Heat Conversion: Biomimetic MXene Textures with Enhanced Light‐to‐Heat Conversion for Solar Steam Generation and Wearable Thermal Management (Adv. Energy Mater. 34/2019)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1901687, Po-Yen Chen and co-workers develop a generalized approach via sequential thermal actuations, to construct biomimetic 2D-material nanocoatings, including Ti3C2Tx MXene, reduced graphene oxide, and MoS2 This design is inspired by the black scales of Bitis rhinoceros. The hierarchical MXene nanocoatings result in broadband light absorption, and demonstrate improved light-to-heat performance, demonstrating the potential for practical applications in solar steam generation and wearable thermal management.
