Enhanced Rate Performance of Li₄Ti₅O₁₂ Anode for Advanced Lithium Batteries

With the increasing development of energy storage, searching a suitable anode comes to be one of the hottest issues in lithium ion batteries. Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 owns the advantages of long discharge plateau, superior safety and so on, but suffering the low electron conductivity. In this work, a facile method with NF 3 for the fluorination of Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 is applied. Via this method, the enhanced rate performance and larger specific capacity of the fluorination Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 are obtained. All these results will provide an applicable modification of Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 materials, which can contribute a lot to the development of lithium ion batteries.
