Abstract
Abstract The cluster/site approximation (CSA) offers computational advantages, without loss of accuracy, over the cluster variation method (CVM) in the calculation of multicomponent phase diagrams. Its ease of use and advantages are illustrated in the calculation of a prototype Cu–Ag–Au fcc order/disorder phase diagram previously calculated using the CVM.
