Abstract

Cu-Al composites have an important industrial prospect due to their excellent properties. The interface layer of Cu-Al composites has always been a key factor affecting its performance. Vibration cast-rolling process was independently developed to improve the interface properties of Cu-Al laminated composites. A pilot-scale experiment of solid-liquid composite of Cu-Al was carried out on a self-made vibration cast-rolling pilot test platform. The interface was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the phase of the interface was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Based on the experimental results, a cell model of intermetallic compounds was established, and the mechanical and electronic properties of intermetallic compounds were calculated by first principles to explore the optimization mechanism. The results show that vibration can improve the comprehensive properties of Cu-Al composite plate interface, which can be attributed to the change of intermetallic compound phase and proportion.
