Abstract

The effect of hydrostatic pressure on photo-induced interdiffusion in Se/As 2 S 3 and As 0.2 Se 0.8 /As 0.2 S 0.8 nanomultilayers has been studied in the pressure range of 0-0.9 GPa. The photo-bleaching due to the mixing was in situ detected and used to follow the interdiffusion kinetics. We have observed that the applied pressure suppressed the diffusion rate. The activation volumes of the interdiffusion process in both systems are in the range of 0.40-0.45 in average atomic volume units.
