Green-maturation of Cobalt-Oxide nano-sponges for reinforced bacterial apoptosis

Abstract

Abstract Green-reduction mediated the facile maturation of the cobalt nano-precipitates into lumpy nano-sponges. Higher substitutional capping of Withania biomolecules yields ultrafine trimming of nano-sponges than other optimizing concentrations. The fully matured cobalt nano-sponges (Co3O4 NS), engraved with pores and holes reinforce the biocompatible surface area with multiple interacting sites. Ultimately Co3O4 NS enhances trapping of bacteria through specific interaction and leads to apoptotic cell death.
