Mitochondria‐Targeted Water‐Soluble Organic Nanoparticles of Chlorin Derivatives for Biocompatible Photodynamic Therapy
Source abstract
Abstract
Water-soluble organic nanoparticles (WSONs) were prepared by a very simple co-precipitation method through nanoprecipitation (solvent-exchange) from THF to water. WSONs are 87–112 nm in size with good water solubility and high water stability for more than a month. WSONs accumulated in mitochondria and induced mitochondria-mediated apoptosis through photodynamic activity against HeLa cells.
