Abstract

Structure and dynamics of polycrystalline C 60 intercalated with O 2 and N 2 have been studied. With exception of a general lattice expansion the influence of guest molecules on the C 60 matrix is small. Vibrations of intercalated molecules are well localized but, a broad distribution of librational modes indicates considerable orientational disorder.
