Abstract

Bis-fused TTF (tetrathiafulvalene) derivatives with an oxacyclopentane ring or a cyclopentane ring 1a-b have been synthesized. One of their radical-cation salts (1a) 2 exhibits high conductivity of 5 Scm -1 at room temperature and metallic behavior down to 225 K. Its structure consists of weakly dimerized columns with relatively small intercolumnar interactions. The electronic structure is regarded as quasi-one-dimensional.
