Uniaxial strain study of electronic and crystal structures of organic conductors
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract Studies of electrical resistance and crystal structures under the uniaxial compression verified that the variety of electronic properties of α-(BEDT-TTF)2XHg(SCN)4 (X=K, NH4), θ-(BEDT-TTF)2CsZn(SCN)4 and θ-BO2Cl(H2O)x is systematically controlled by the strain and is explained in terms of the difference in the band structure. One exception, the selenium analogue α-(BEDT-TTF)2KHg(SeCN)4 showed the superconductivity under the uniaxial compression along any direction.
