Abstract

The microwave conductivities σ 1 and dielectric constants e 1 at 44.5 GHz reveal that the quasi two-dimensional conducting plane is highly anisotropic. In the anomalous metallic state at T MI (= 8.3 K) < T < T FM (= 70 K), E 1 c along c amounts to the order of 10 3 and σ 1 c becomes more resistive than the dc conductivity. The dispersion in σ 1 c and e 1 c below T MI comes from the collective modes due to the charge degrees of freedom.
