Abstract

We have newly developed a miniature cantilever torquemeter for use in pulsed high magnetic fields up to 52 T with duration of 16 ms. The high sensitivity of the order of τ∼10 -11 Nm enables us to measure small samples of less than 1 μg. In addition, response to fast transient signals is significantly improved due to the high eigenfrequency of 250-300 kHz.
