Abstract

2,3-Bis(cyanoethylthio)6,7-(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (BCEE-TTF) has the structure of the unsymmmetrical TTF derivative and the electrical properties of its radical-cation salts with AuBr 2 and PF 6 were studied. The PF 6 salt show s the metallic behavior and has the high electrical conductivity at room temperature, although the PF 6 salt becomes the insulator at low temperature. The crystal structure of the AuBr 2 salt was also investigated.
