Abstract

The ET salt with a magnetic counter ion (ET) 3 (MnCl 4 )(TCE) (TCE = 1,1,2-trichloroethane) exhibits pressure-sensitive, complicated electrical behavior due to its semimetallic electronic structure. On the other hand, stronger d-n coupling is suggested in (ET) 3 (MnCl 3 ) 2 (C 2 H 5 OH) 2 , which has infinite magnetic chains with semimetallic conducting behavior.
