Abstract

Optical and electric properties of conducting polymers with heteroatoms in main chains have been studied. The strong photoluminescence (PL) with high quantum efficiency and PL lifetime have been clarified, and the spectral narrowing of blue emission in color has been observed by pulse photo-excitation. Intense blue electroluminescence (EL) has also been demonstrated.
