Non-linear optical transmission of soluble fullerenes and nanotubes, and of TMTTF
Source abstract
Abstract
Non linear transmission measurements with nanosecond pulses at 532 nm are presented for fulleropyrrolidines, PEG-single-walled-nanotubes and for TMTTF. Besides a reverse saturahle absorption (RSA) we find, for fulleropyrrolidines, a non-linear scantering activity related to the formation of triplet excitons, whereas for the soluble nanotubes an RSA activity seems to he present in addition to the non-linear scattering, characteristic of suspensions of original nanotubes. TMTTF solutions show the importance of multiphoton sequential processes and in particular of a three photon absorption.
