Syntheses and Luminescent Properties of Two Blue-Light – Emitting Chelates with Schiff Base Calixarene as Ligands

Abstract
Two novel zinc and Beryllium complexes with schiff base calixarene ligands were synthesized. Their luminescent properties were examined, indicating that both of them could emit blue fluorescence. Studies on photoluminescence spectra suggested that ellicient energy transfer may occur from TPD to the two chelates, indicating that they are prospective dopants in polymer matrixes.
