Boron and nitrogen doped carbon nanotubes/Fe3O4 composite architectures with microwave absorption property
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract Boron and nitrogen doped carbon nanotubes/Fe3O4 (BNCNTs/Fe3O4) composite architectures have been prepared by pressure assisted precursor pyrolysis and gel soaking–curing methods. Nano-scale Fe3O4 particles with the diameter about 30 nm are uniformly distributed on the nanotubes which have the diameters about 300–400 nm and hundreds of microns in length. Microwave reflection loss of BNCNTs/Fe3O4 composite architectures was investigated in the frequency of 2–18 GHz. The microwave absorption property is depended on the soaking time. The composite architectures exhibit the minimum reflection loss at −51.2 dB (the corresponding frequency is 11.7 GHz at the soaking time of 120 min) suggesting the good microwave absorption properties.
