The Mathematical Engines of Nanomedicine
Source abstract
Abstract
Mathematics is an essential part of the very definition of nanotechnology and is a powerful tool in nanomedicine and biology in the fight against disease. This Essay discusses the fundamental role of mathematics in integrating multiple disciplines around the various length scales and helping to identify methods of detecting pathologies and delivering therapy and prevention agents (see image).
