A Simple Pathway to the Synthesis of Magnetic Nanoparticles with Immobilized Metal Ions for the Fast Removal of Microcystins in Water
Source abstract
Abstract
Cu2+-immobilized magnetic nanoparticles (Cu2+ MNs; see image) were prepared through a facile approach and the synthesized Cu2+ MNs were successfully applied for the first time to the removal of microcystins (MCs) via a direct high-pressure liquid chromatography analysis. The resulting Cu2+-MNs with adsorbed MCs can be easily removed from mixture with the help of a magnet. The removal process is facile, efficient, and economical.
