Abstract

Nanofibrous Hemostatic Dressings In article number 2308833, Kye Il Joo, Hyung Joon Cha, and co-workers developed a protein-based nanofibrous hemostatic dressing for the treatment of internal bleeding. Mussel adhesive protein was first introduced as a hemostatic agent, and its effect on blood coagulation was confirmed at the inner layer of the dressing. Silk fibroin, consisting of the outer layer of the dressing, was controlled through changes in its secondary structure, which protects the wound site from contamination and infection.
