Assessment of Hazard Due to Flaws in Metallic Structures Detected by the AE Method
Source abstract
Abstract
Five rejection criteria for acoustic-emission (AE) testing of metallic structures are discussed. The paper contains analytical expressions for calculating rejection levels and a practical example of a calculation of the degree of hazard caused by a aw detected by the AE method in an oil-gasoline tank.
