Physical simulation of the conditions and parameters of the reliability of the magnetic inspection of steel cables
Source abstract
Abstract
A physical model of the magnetic inspection process of steel cables, which is based on the linear approximation of the influence of the ratios (γ*) of effective external electromagnetic disturbances (noises) and information-signal values of a flaw defector is presented. Based on the application in a model of simulation specimens of the wear of steel cables with a relative amplitude magnetic permeability that is smaller by a factor of 1.5–3 than that of cable steels, a procedure for the express evaluation of the reliability of the inspection of cables in their wear range of 0–25% was designed.
