Abstract

A two-channel method of prompt X-ray phase analysis with the use of a DRON-2 diffractometer and a radioisotope detachable unit is proposed. Applicability of the method for the quantitative analysis of magnetite in iron ore is considered. Determination of Fe3O4 in a single sample takes 3–4 min, and the error is at a permissible level. This method may be used for the phase analysis of loose materials.
