Abstract

The acoustic path for a reflector of the flat-bottom-hole type and normal circular transducers arbitrarily placed on the tested surface is calculated using the Kirchhoff approximation. Examples of calculations of the directivity characteristics for an elliptically shaped reflector with a varied ratio of its semiaxes and differently positioned transducers are presented.
