Critical Fields for Displacing Domain Walls in Low-Alloyed Tempered and Martensite-Aging Steels
Source abstract
Abstract
By analyzing experimental curves of differential magnetic susceptibility of thermally processed samples of 38KhS, 75G, and N18K9M5T steels versus magnetizing field, we have derived characteristic curves χ180(H) and χ90(H) due to displacement of 180° and 90° domain walls and determined critical fields H180 and H90 for these types of domain walls. Fields due to induced magnetic anisotropy have been calculated, alongside their components caused by internal stress and nonferromagnetic inclusions.
