Abstract

The effect of the parameters of a contact layer and a damper on the duration of an acoustic pulse radiated by a piezoelectric plate into a solid medium has been studied on the basis of numerical calculations. It has been shown that the pulse duration can be reduced by choosing the contact-layer and damper parameters.
